SummaryThe Bell Network and Technology Services NTS team is on a journey to transform how Bell delivers the best customer experience with seamless access to a software-driven and cloud-based ecosystem of products, services and content. This transformation is about simplifying, virtualizing and automating the network transport and services to lower costs and increase agility to deploy Bell services.
The DevEx & DevOps COE team is responsible for providing shared capabilities and best practises to the different NTS Delivery teams within Bell Canada including the following:
• Platforms and Tooling
• DevEx & DevOps Transformation
As a senior technical product owner for testing practises, you will be closely working with DevEx & DevOps teams and oversee the full project management life cycle and software development life cycle for the implementation of highly complex, large-scale, strategic TS and business initiatives.
Your role is specifically to help establish the guiding principles and best practises for Testing enablement and ensure continuous testing adoption by the Development Teams.
You will be responsible to help Development teams improve their software quality by enabling early defect detection, reduce costs associated with fixing issues later and facilitate faster, more reliable releases, ultimately leading to a more efficient and agile development process
- Responsible for the Testing Transformation roadmap to help move teams from manual to automated testing and increase footprint and coverage
- Create comprehensive test strategy and planning that align with the Bell DevOps transformation
- Responsible for advising on best practices for continuous testing and ensure the adoption
- maintain testing standards and helping with its documentation.
- Ensure the continuous connection and collaboration between DevEx & DevOps COE and GQE Testing team.
- Responsible for adoption progress, reporting and visibility for issues and success metrics
- Collaborate with the DevOps COE team to enhance & Customize the Golden Pipeline based on the Development teams' requirements
- Create training materials relative to Testing and standards
- Participate in the enterprise DevOps transformation team efforts
• 5+ years' experience with test automation framework and design
• Strong understanding and execution of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and different testing methodologies.
• knowledge of testing tools and technologies to effectively guide the enablement roll out
• Deep experience and hand on with QA and DevOps practices
• Good leadership skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to operate with Onshore and Offshore teams
• Good financial knowledge / skills
• Five or more years of experience in an upper-management role, preferably in program management
• Experience in managing stakeholders
• 5+ years of experience working within a DevOps environment with expertise in infrastructure-as-code and understanding of software/application development
• 5+ years expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCE, OpenStack, VMWare, etc.) and Linux/Windows operating systems
• Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and/or leading a team and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Deep understanding of the DevOps philosophy and Agile methods
• Automating traditional processes with scripting or configuration management
• Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and coach on how to automate routine tasks
• Strong experience on leading large projects, transformation efforts, process improvements, product implementations, systems development and integration efforts
• An individual who can adapt to uncertainty and change with elegance.
• Bilingual French and English (written and verbal) is an asset.
