Who you are
You have worked in a healthcare setting for a minimum of 5 years. You have experience in materials management and knowledge of various related provincial guidelines, government acts and regulations, standard public purchasing guidelines and fair business practice. A high proficiency with Meditech computer software, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications is required.
Other qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively including the ability to write reports, deliver presentations and speak to groups. You must be self directed and able to adapt to the diverse aspects of the position. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities as well as a good work attendance record are required.
A degree in a health related discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. French language proficiency would be considered an asset.
What you will do
The primary purpose of the Coordinator is to develop and maintain/manage a cost effective cardiology inventory management system and to collaborate with the cardiac program managers, members of materials management/purchasing department, physicians (cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiologists and cardiac anesthesiologists), perfusion medicine, respiratory therapy, electrodiagnostics, clinical engineering and maintenance departments in the acquisition of appropriate major and small equipment and supplies. The Coordinator is also a support and resource for the cardiac program managers at all sites in Horizon.
