Position Overview:

The SEO Analyst role supports the overall vision for digital marketing for The Home Depot Canada by attracting quality organic search traffic to our website for lead generation, engagement and revenue. This includes supporting the SEO strategy and research by doing competitive website analysis, gap assessment and landing page optimization for the Home Depot Canada website.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Implementation

  • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities to increase SEO traffic
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific
  • Research and analyze competitor link building activities and SERP (Search Engine Result Pages) results
  • Implement link building strategy and campaigns for homedepot.ca

Partnering

  • Work with all content creators (Online Experience/Marketing/Digital Production teams) to optimize existing content and produce new content with the most SEO value to THD Canada
  • Work with PR/ Marketing team to maximize link building gains and prioritize outreach activities
  • Work with the Product Management and Technology teams to ensure SEO best practices in newly developed and existing code
  • Help to create and support marketing content to socialize and use for social media purposes (e.g. customer videos briefs, customer case studies, blog posts, posts from analysts and customers)

Reporting and Project Management

  • Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance

Working Conditions:

Minimum Education:

  • University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 2-5 years experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Minimum Leadership Experience:

  • None

Certifications:

  • None

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture
  • Experience working with popular SEO-industry tools (BrightEdge, Conductor, Google Keyword Planner, AWR Cloud, Botify, Moz, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog etc.)
  • Experience working with Content Management System (CMS) and building/administering content in CMS environments
  • Advanced capability in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Bilingual (English/French) will be considered an asset.
