About the Role

The Global Asset Financing Specialist will be a key member of Cooke's Finance team, responsible for securing and managing financing for major capital asset acquisitions across the organization and its affiliated companies worldwide. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the timely acquisition of assets, aligning with business unit timelines, capital budgets, and overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Finance & Lease Management: Analyze and coordinate asset financing options (loans and leases) to ensure timely acquisition of capital assets in line with business requirements and budgets.
  • Annual Planning: Manage the annual capital asset funding plan and ensure compliance with internal credit facilities and external funding arrangements.
  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation, renewal, and amendment of all relevant loan and lease documents, including for property, vehicles, vessels, and equipment.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in financing documents or terms, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Vendor & Financial Institution Relations: Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and financial institutions to support financing strategy and execution.
  • Data Management: Maintain an accurate and well-organized system of loan and lease agreements.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and assess financial agreements to provide sound recommendations on funding strategies and structures.
  • Structuring: Work with financial partners to develop customized loan and lease structures that align with the company's capital strategy.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with executive leadership on the leasing portfolio, including periodic reporting and updates.

Candidate Profile

Cooke is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong experience in financial analysis and lease financing. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of navigating a global, multi-entity environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience in asset-based lending and lease financing
  • Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing agreements across multiple business units or entities
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
