We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Construction Site Representative to join our team in our St. John's office.

We're looking for an experienced Construction Site Representative to join our multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm. This role involves conducting field services with a primary focus on civil and municipal engineering projects, including land development, municipal servicing, and road construction.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete field measurements and track quantities, as well as document daily progress and work activities;
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications and ensure conformance during construction;
  • Monitor and ensure general safety protocols are being followed to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Liaise with project managers, Contractor, Owner, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration; and
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by clients, stakeholders, or team members promptly and professionally.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience conducting field services (experience working for an engineering consulting firm would be considered a strong asset);
  • Demonstrated experience in civil/municipal installation considered an asset (experience as pipefitter, foreperson, or other similar roles)
  • Possess a positive attitude towards safety and have the ability to monitor general compliance of safety on construction sites;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Ability to complete surveys using RTK survey equipment is considered an asset ;
  • Ability to work in a team environment to ensure project success;
  • Willingness to carry out on-site representation duties for extended periods of time;
  • Willingness to work typical hours for construction;
  • Working ability with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Ability to effectively communicate; and
  • Hold a valid Newfoundland and Labrador driver's license.
  • Diploma in engineering technology (civil) considered an asset.
