What you will do:
As an Administrative Assistant, you will work directly with the Manager of Early Learning and Childcare Services to provide crucial administrative support to our team. You'll handle a range of tasks with independence, judgement, and attention to detail.

Who you are:
The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the application process for new and renewing licenses for childcare facilities, ensuring all documentation is complete and communications are clear.
  • Handle the early learning and childcare communication lines (phone, email), providing accurate and timely information to the public, parents, and childcare operators.
  • Draft, format, and send correspondence, including letters, memos, and confidential documents.
  • Prepare childcare licenses and permits.
  • Coordinate translation requests, manage supplies, and process payments.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Required Competencies:

  • Two-year post-secondary program in the area of administrative professional, office management, or business administration, and a minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
ASL 3 - $1,625 – $1,971 bi-weekly.

Work environment:

  • Office location: Fredericton, NB – Marysville Place
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
