Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is actively recruiting a Bilingual Human Services Counselor to join the team at the Moncton Hospital.

As a Human Services Counselor, you will assess, support, and assist clients/patients of inpatient psychiatry units through the implementation of therapeutic and rehabilitative programs. Duties may include:

• Participating in the assessment, development, and implementation of the client support services plan
• Observing, documenting, and reporting physical, behavioral, and psychological changes in the client
• Reviewing, evaluating, and modifying individual service plans as part of the multidisciplinary team
• Intervening in crisis situations and providing emotional support to clients
• Assisting clients with activities of daily living by teaching and counseling on lifestyle skills
• Organizing and implementing individual and group therapeutic programs

Who you are

You possess a diploma in a human services program or related field, or you have several years of recent and related work experience. You have written and spoken competence in English (Advanced) and French (Advanced).
