The Manager Liquidity Forecasting & Analytics contributes to the overall success of the Forecasting and Balance Sheet Insights ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. They will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This is an important role in Group Liquidity & Funding Management within Group Treasury and provides critical analysis and insights to support strategic liquidity management recommendations leveraging liquidity forecasts and analysis around liquidity buffer sizing and funding needs. Success in this role is determined by a combination of accountabilities and demonstration of core values. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Produce high quality forecasts of the Bank's liquidity positions and metrics and performs scenario analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and liquidity stress points.
- Develop and maintain robust forecasting models to accurately forecast the bank's liquidity positions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure accuracy of inputs for forecast models.
- Utilize advanced quantitative and analytical skills to identify and assess potential risks related to balance sheet composition and liquidity risks and produce recommendations driving optimal funding strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate model results and insights to senior management
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certification (CFA, FRM, etc.) is preferred, either completed or working towards.
- At least 2 years relevant experience preferably in Treasury, Capital Markets, or Risk Management.
- Strong Analytical and Modeling Skills: advanced knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis techniques to accurately project liquidity positions various scenarios.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant banking regulations and risk management practices particularly applicable to funding and liquidity management.
- Proficiency In Financial Software and Tools: experience working with large databases using financial software (advanced Excel skills etc.), market data (Bloomberg etc.), and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Attention To Detail and Ability to Work Under Pressure: a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in forecasting. Be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
