Merchandise Supervisor

St. John's Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is currently seeking an individual who is energetic, dependable and would enjoy working in a fast paced and exciting environment. Reporting directly to the Manager - Food & Beverage, the Merchandise Supervisor will work closely with the sports teams and promoters, as well as other stakeholders to deliver a seamless merchandise experience for fans and visitors. We're looking for a candidate who is detail oriented; has exceptional interpersonal skills; and is passionate about sport retail in this full-time permanent position.

We're looking for our merchandise MVP, who will play a critical role in retail operations in person and online, contributing to the organization's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all merchandise sales and retail operations for concerts, sporting events and live shows at Mary Brown's Centre ensuring all products are properly displayed and priced minimizing shrinkage and loss.
• Work closely with sports teams, concert promoters and other stakeholders to coordinate merchandise setup, sales logistics and teardown.
• Work with sport tenants, promoters and other stakeholders to develop and create merchandising opportunities and experiences within Mary Brown's Centre.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels for all merchandise, ensuring accurate stock control before and after events.
• Update and maintain the online merchandise store, ensuring all products, pricing and promotions are accurate.
• Process and fulfill online orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare daily deposits, reconcile nightly and month-end sales reports.
• Ensure proper cash handling.
• Assist with hiring and scheduling of part-time merchandise sellers.
• Supervise part-time merchandise sellers, ensuring they provide top-tier customer service and operate efficiently during high-traffic events following SJSEL policies and procedures including relevant health and safety regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

To be our MVP in this role, you'll need the following:

• High school graduation certificate and relevant course work.
• Three (3) years' experience in the retail industry.
• Two (2) years' supervisory experience in the retail industry.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications with proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency in working with a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Highly organized and attentive to detail
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver employee training.
• Certificate of Conduct must be provided.
