Position Scope:

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. This position is subject to call in coverage.

This position works closely with a variety of personnel including the Maintenance team, Plant and Production Managers, and Engineering team. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling industrial electrical tasks onsite by directing employees and contractors. Identify and resolve issues through independent and collaborative root cause analysis. Ensuring open communication across multiple departments and promoting a collaborative work environment is required.

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance team members' technical expertise and overall performance. Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to foster skill growth and ensure continuous improvement. Offer constructive feedback in a manner that encourages learning and development, helping individuals identify areas for improvement while also recognizing achievements. Foster an environment of collaboration and knowledge-sharing, empowering team members to take on increasing responsibilities and contribute effectively to team goals.

Spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs. Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive the adoption of innovative solutions that streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze existing systems, recommend improvements, and monitor the impact of changes to ensure cost-effective, high-performance operations.

Qualification & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in an industrial environment is required.
  • Postsecondary education in trades, technology or engineering is preferred.
  • Industrial Electrical Red Seal would also be considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP and LOTO would be considered an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in food manufacturing would be considered an asset.

  • Up to date on the latest industry best practices and standards.
