Position Overview:
The Corporate Quality and Food Safety Manager leads all Quality and Food Safety initiatives at both the corporate and plant levels. These initiatives involve analyzing and interpreting data related to quality and food safety metrics, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role plays a crucial part in driving continuous improvement in quality, food safety, and operational efficiency (process streamlining, productivity) across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Development and Standardization:
- Organize and lead activities for the improvement of current products and the development of new products by evaluating product formulas, specifications, ingredients, SOPs, and process flows to ensure food quality and regulatory requirements are met.
- Organize and lead activities related to new product development, supporting it through evaluating new technologies and processes, ensuring both government and internal regulatory requirements are met.
Project Management:
- Lead Quality and Food Safety digital transformation projects.
- Lead quality improvement and food safety projects, ensuring milestones and objectives are met.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that data-related aspects are incorporated effectively and provide insights to enhance decision-making processes
Digital Transformation and Data Reporting:
- Lead the adoption of new digital tools or upgrade existing data management systems to improve data volume, accuracy, accessibility, and analysis efficiency.
- Collect and analyze quality and food safety data from various internal and external sources (e.g., labs, production lines, supply chain, audits, complaints, etc.).
- Help develop data collection processes to communicate findings, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Identify patterns and trends in food safety and quality data that indicate opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs) to implement corrective actions and improve operational performance.
- Monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of quality and food safety initiatives and continuously provide feedback to optimize processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between the Quality & Food Safety team and other departments, including corporate teams and plants, to share insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure data accuracy and to support quality and food safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- University degree in food science or dairy production, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in quality control/assurance, ideally in dairy product manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of quality assurance programs such as GMP and HACCP.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, along with a sustained commitment to team development.
- Knowledge of change management and Lean Manufacturing tools and methods.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and statistical software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Work effectively across teams to implement quality and safety improvements.
- Ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders on multiple projects simultaneously.
