We are seeking a Director of People and Culture to champion our employee experience practices, strengthen our culture, and lead HR strategies that drive engagement and support future growth opportunities. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and influence how we attract, retain, and develop top talent while fostering an inclusive and high-performing workplace!

As the Director of People and Culture, you will play a key role in defining and implementing progressive HR strategies that align with our mission, values, and business goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of people management, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, total compensation, benefits, training, and leadership development. You will also provide strategic HR consultation to leaders and drive initiatives that enhance workplace culture and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top industry talent.
  • Lead workforce planning efforts to align hiring with business needs.
  • Oversee the full-cycle hiring process, ensuring a seamless and inclusive candidate experience.
  • Design and enhance onboarding programs that foster employee engagement from day one.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Champion a workplace culture that is inclusive, high-performing, and aligned with our values.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and well-being.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring meaningful impact.
  • Strengthen relationships with our communities and drive community engagement programs.

Total Compensation & Benefits

Training & Leadership Development

HR Strategy & Consultation

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on HR-related matters.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that drive compliance and best practices.
  • Lead HR reporting, analytics, and workforce planning to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Experience in construction, industrial, or similar sectors is an asset
  • Strong background in all areas of HR management noted herein
  • Proven success in fostering an inclusive, values-driven workplace culture
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams, coach managers, and build strong relationships across the organization and in the community
  • A forward-thinking approach to aligning HR practices with business objectives
