Air Borealis is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Ramp Lead in Goose Bay, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in the capacity of a lead hand, mentor, and guide Ramp Attendants
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of all PAL Airlines/Air Borealis/Charter aircraft flights while on shift.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment is available to facilitate the offload and onload of passengers and cargo.
  • Oversee and coordinate ground operations procedures and help to review, evaluate, and implement new procedures.
  • Completing daily inspection of all ground handling equipment and the completion of required paperwork.
  • Marshalling aircraft in and out of the ramp area safely.
  • Ensuring the safety of all passengers and employees on the ramp area at all times.
  • Facilitate the scheduling process of all Ramp Attendants.
  • Establish work priorities and delegate work to Ramp Attendants.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a ramp attendant or in a related role, with 1-2 years demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
  • Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of safety regulations in the aviation industry.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract;
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift upwards to 50lbs.
