The Registrar's Office at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Functional Support Assistant.
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Systems, the Functional Support Assistant has administrative responsibilities in support of the co-ordination and delivery of midterms and final examinations for students registered in courses via distance learning. This position also assists during the final examination schedule in December and April. The Functional Support Assistant liaises with external agencies and students from other post-secondary institutions to set up and coordinate external examinations.
The position also provides support to the Assistant Registrar, Financial Aid, in relation to the entrance/in-course scholarship and bursary programs, Student Works programs; including assisting with the applications and processing of time sheets. The position responds to examination and financial aid inquires throughout the year.
A 2-year college diploma in business or another related area and a minimum of 18 months of related experience, preferably in a University setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience supporting a busy team/office; including experience managing multiple tasks and projects. Experience supporting/providing service in relation to online learning and financial aid is considered an asset. Effective communication and excellent organizational skills are essential in this position, and supporting all of these skills is a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc. Given the confidential and personal information within the Registrar's Office, discretion and professionalism are necessary in this role.

Salary: $36,100 per annum [Step Progression: $36,100 to $43,102]
