As part of our Marketing team, you will develop, implement, and guide strategies and plans for SaveEnergyNB efficiency programs and NB Power's products and services. This exciting role involves actively contributing to the work, while leading teams to achieve business objectives, meet performance targets, and strengthen brand awareness and reputation. With advancements in technology, the emergence of Electric Vehicle's, renewable energy and a focus on helping customers take advantage of efficiency programs, it's an exciting time to work in the energy sector.


Key functions include:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Leading the development of important strategic marketing plans behind existing or new launches of our programs, products, or services that support our corporate business goals as outlined within our strategic plan. Collaborating with internal Program, Product, or Service Leads and advising on marketing strategy for your defined portfolio.
  • Execution and Team Management: Developing and overseeing the execution of marketing plans and initiatives for your portfolio, working with both agency partners and our internal creative, web, and communications departments. Potentially working with and managing one Program Marketing Associate (Implementation) who brings the portfolio strategy to execution.
  • Brand Alignment and Special Projects: Taking an active role in the evolution of the SaveEnergyNB and NB Power brands, promoting development, education, and awareness in the market. Ensuring the brand personalities and values are reflected in your marketing approach, copy, and creative. Managing other special projects as they arise.


Our ideal teammate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in marketing, communications or a related field

OR

  • A postsecondary diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
  • Five years of experience in managing marketing programs which includes three years of leadership experience (Candidates who possess a post-secondary diploma will require an additional two years of experience).
  • Proven record of growth through strong strategies, creativity, innovation, and excellence in execution.
  • Ability to develop strategic marketing plans
  • Expertise in end-to-end marketing campaign management, including strategy, execution, and post-campaign reporting
  • Strong project management skills, including managing budgets, resources, and timelines, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • A focus on customer value. Experience with customer journey mapping analysis would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, agency relations/management and current marketing best practices
  • Strong writing skills for creative briefs, strategy documents, marketing content, reports and communication with internal parties
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to navigate multi-priority environments and undefined processes

Strong influencing skills at all organizational levels, supported by a sales-oriented mindset and fact-based rationale
Valid Class 5 Driver's License required

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.


An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
