Position Scope:

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. This position is subject to call in coverage.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. You will work closely with the Maintenance, Plant, and Production Managers, Engineering teams, and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Your responsibilities will include assigning tasks, overseeing the maintenance team, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are consistently met. Additionally, you will provide training, coaching, and constructive feedback to support team growth, while actively assisting with maintenance tasks when needed to maintain smooth operations. You will lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and resolve issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and reduce costs. Planning and scheduling both short- and long-term maintenance to align with plant priorities will also be a key focus. Furthermore, you will champion open communication across departments to foster collaboration and achieve organizational objectives.

Qualification & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in an industrial environment is required.
  • Postsecondary education in trades, technology or engineering is preferred.
  • Red Seal in any mechanical related trade would also be considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WHMIS, HACCP and LOTO would be considered an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in food manufacturing would be considered an asset.
