WorkSafeNB is seeking to fill a 16-month term contract for a Business Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Solutions, you will serve as a liaison between our business partners and the IT Division of the WorkSafeNB organization. This role seeks opportunities to support client satisfaction, relationships, and expectations. In developing an in depth understanding of business needs and processes, this role collaborates with IT professionals to determine if appropriate internal or external solutions currently exist, or whether new solutions are required and feasible. The Business Analyst enables the delivery of solutions that deliver value and align with the business needs while supporting the adoption of Microsoft 365 and other digital tools for improved productivity.
Your key areas of responsibility include:
- Relationship development in respect to being accountable for having a solid understanding of existing business processes, key drivers, and measures of success for all divisions of the organization. In building this working knowledge of the business areas, you enable development of a trusted relationship with the organization. This also includes promoting potential technology opportunities that support the business processes.
- Demonstrating clear understanding and identification of the business problem or vision assisting in the value-add realization and demand prioritization.
- Performing business analysis which includes collecting, analyzing, developing, documenting, and communicating business requirements, as well as supporting user testing to achieve business goals and validate solution delivery and value.
- Act as an advocate for digital literacy, encouraging adoption and best practices for Microsoft 365 tools. Provide support for Microsoft 365 tools including, but not limited to, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, and MS Forms to meet end user needs.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent diploma in Technology and combined work experience.
- Two to four years of relevant technical and business work experience.
- Ability to facilitate and lead workshop sessions with the business and IT on small to medium size projects.
- Understanding of IT and its relationship with other business units.
- Experience in supporting users in their use of M365 productivity tools.
- Strong speaking, writing and presentation skills.
IIBA, PMI BA or other Business Analysis related designations are considered an asset.
Written and spoken competency in English is required for all positions.
Pay Scale $77,735.49 to $91,452.80
Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.
Benefits include vacation, sick time and the New Brunswick Public Service Pension Plan.
Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province or country is not permissible.
