The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual as Business Development & Marine Operations Coordinator to join our team for a 12-month contract with the potential of 18-months. As part of the Port Saint John team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer and departmental Directors, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

Your Focus:

  • Assisting the Chief Operating Officer with scheduling, travel, communications, meeting arrangements and administrative tasks
  • Assisting departmental Directors with various initiatives.
  • Liaise and communicate with internal and external parties as required.
  • Organize and provide support for trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Coordination of departmental budget process throughout the year.
  • Develop and coordinate presentation materials and organize marketing packages.
  • Participation and support of general Port initiatives and community events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Completed Post Secondary education in a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technology skills and abilities.
  • Able to receive a Transport Canada Marine Security Clearance.
  • Written and spoken knowledge of French will be considered an asset.
