The Senior Manager, Secondary Nostro Management & Manual Payments Initiation leads and oversees daily cash management operations of secondary Nostro management within Payment Processing Operations ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, motivates and manages succession and development planning.
  • Leads the execution of secondary Nostro cash management operations to minimize risk while maximizing revenue (funding, settlement, forecasting)
  • Communicate directly with external stakeholders (Nostro banks) and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues and provide solutions
  • Oversees and manages initiation of internal funding/drawdown of payments
  • Prepares and presents regular operational reports that provide insights/analysis on account and resource activities to enable operations to better monitor flows and improve decision-making
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations, audit requests, regulatory filings and reporting.
  • Utilizes and leverages expertise on Nostro Management Software, Payment Inititation and Throttling

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 3+ Years of Leadership experience managing a growing team
  • 3+ Years of Accounting experience dealing with settlement, reconciliation, cost allocation
  • 3+ Years of Financial Services Industry experience
  • 3+ Years of Nostro/Correspondent Bank experience
  • Experience with Nostro management software (ie: Realiti), or Payment Initiation/Throttling systems
  • 3+ Years of SWIFT/Wire Payment experience (including experience related to MX/ISO20022 formatting)
  • Shown experience in meeting day-to-day business controls to meet obligation with respect to compliance, AML, sanctions and conduct risk
  • Background technical experience
  • Analytical experience and working with programs (ie: PowerBI) to visually communicate activities (volumes, transactions, cash positions, etc.)
