The Senior Manager, Sanctions Strategy and Risk Management works as part of a team responsible for managing the Global Sanctions and Screening program across the Bank's global footprint. This position will lead a team and is responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives and projects, regulatory, audit, or self-identified issues, regulatory, audit, and testing exam preparations and responses, and enhancements as defined by Global Sanctions executive management.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Manage and oversee the Global Sanctions Strategy and Change Management function, which includes issue management, project and strategic initiative management, regulatory exam preparation and response, and BAU enhancements.

Develop, manage, or execute project plans for regulatory, audit, and self-identified issues, special projects, or strategic initiatives.

Develop strategic responses to enterprise-wide and local examinations that are consistent with the Bank's risk appetite, policies, and standards.

Provide updates and reporting to the Senior Manager, Governance and Reporting, and their team for reporting to executive and senior management.

Work with executive and senior management to identify areas for enhancements, develop corrective action plans, and create project plans and other strategic initiatives or enhancements.

Manage regulatory, audit, and exam preparations and responses with Global Sanctions senior and executive management.

Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the execution of strategic action plans.

Maintain the sanctions screening governing documentation by performing periodic reviews and updates as necessary.

Participate in periodic tuning activities and provide input on business requirements in line with the GSS Policy and risk appetite.

Report on the status of all action plans to senior management and escalate and provide recommendations for any items considered at risk for delivery.

Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:

A minimum bachelor's degree in business or a related field.

At least 5 years in governance and reporting, program management and governance, or other related functions in financial services.

Strong communication, analytical, organizational, project management, and planning skills.

Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Project or other project management and reporting tools.
-
Knowledge of business, products, operations, systems, and organization in the financial services sector.
