Located in Oromocto, New Brunswick, MRDC Operations Corporation is responsible for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the 195 km, 4-lane Fredericton-Moncton highway. MRDC's 30-year concession contract ends in 2028, at which time the highway will be turned over to the Province of New Brunswick.

Job Title: Project Coordinator - 3 year contract term

Summary: Reporting to the Project Director, this position will involve many aspects of heavy civil construction and/or road construction and paving operations. The Project Coordinator will work in the office and in the construction field assisting the Project group.

Responsibilities:

· Coordination of subcontractors and suppliers involved with various construction projects

· Assist in tracking construction project quantities completed and costs, forecast updates

· Assist in project planning and scheduling with MRDC Project group and contractors

· Document management including contract as-built drawings, project work records, and QA/QC data management

Requirements:

Civil Engineer or Engineering Technologist from new grad to 5 years of related experience

Possess strong mathematical and computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office, scheduling software)

Knowledge of construction, with ability to read plans and specifications

Knowledge of municipal and provincial specifications and practices, an asset

Effective oral and written communication skills

Work independently as well as part of a team

Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Demonstrate effective organizational skills/time management skills
