Position Overview:
The Sourcing Program Manager will be responsible for the execution of Product Development & Global sourcing objectives to deliver sales, margin, and penetration growth targets. This role drives the development of private brands that are globally sourced. Recommending new sourcing alternatives and ensuring pricing optimization. He or she will partner closely with Merchant partners and Cross Functional Team to identify new category specific areas for development as well as lead and identify private brand cost out opportunities. This role will understand product, merchandising needs, analyze projects, specifications, and ensure private brand governance. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Product Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute global sourced product for assigned merchandising departments.
Partner with Merchants to lead private brand product line review initiatives to drive cost out.
Manage and drive sourcing programs through Asian, European and Latin American sourcing offices; responsible for developing and maintaining relationship with global sourcing offices.
Own and drive private brand penetration for assigned merchandising categories.
Contribute to off shelf programs and online strategy with team to increase sales and margin.
Work with US counterparts to create specifications for products including packaging, safety and environmental issues.
In conjunction with US counterparts, develop products as well as materials to sell the products i.e. Packaging, P.K. materials, POP.
Understand merchandising needs, analyze sales data, market intelligence, and ensure compliance.
Have excellent control on the end-to-end product development & sourcing processes.
Gain strong understanding of the categories and sub-categories for execution of sourcing and/or private brand programs.
Participate in product line reviews and contribute to overall merchandising strategy
Monitor and understand department programs in order to communicate and take necessary actions.
Responsible for developing and maintaining a smooth working relationship between global vendors and fulfillment/inventory group.
