The opportunity: Dr. Paryse Johnson is looking for a dedicated Part-Time Vascular Sonographer (8 hours per week) to join her team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the Vascular Sonographer will play an essential role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:

  • Coordinate patient care by administering arterial and venous ultrasounds.
  • Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
  • Conduct ultrasounds according to physician's orders.
  • Maintain electronic medical records via EMR software.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
  • Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as needed.

Working Conditions & Location: The part-time Vascular Sonographer position offers flexible scheduling, requiring approximately 8 hours per week of on-site availability during regular business hours, excluding evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. There may be potential for additional hours based on the candidate's interest and demand. The clinic is located at 171 Lutz Street, Moncton, NB.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate clinical and critical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and patient advocacy.
  • A self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computers, including the use of the internet, electronic medical record system, and other relevant softwares.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong asset.

Experience/Education:

  • Registered with Sonography Canada (the main governing body in Canada).
  • Successful completion of Sonography Canada certification exams.
  • Completion of CRVS credentials is a bonus.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare environment is an asset.
  • General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.
