SummaryThe Senior Manager of Delivery – Data Centre is a critical leadership role within our Professional Services organization. This individual will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex datacenter and hybrid cloud projects, ensuring client satisfaction, on-time and within-budget project completion, and the development of strong client relationships. The role requires a deep understanding of datacenter technologies, hybrid cloud architectures, and a proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Project Delivery: Lead and manage a portfolio of complex datacenter and hybrid cloud projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations. This includes developing high level project plans, managing resources, tracking progress, and mitigating risks.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a high-performing team of technical engineers and specialists. Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to foster collaboration and a supportive team environment nationwide.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related communication and issue resolution. Proactively identify and address client concerns, ensuring a positive client experience.
- Resource Management: Manage a team of approximately 10 data center engineers / specialists, optimizing personnel and budget for maximum efficiency. This includes strategically partnering with external vendors and hiring contractors as needed to meet project deadlines
- Financial Management: Track project financials, manage budgets, and forecast project costs accurately. Identify and address potential cost overruns proactively.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize potential project delays or cost overruns.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project delivery processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of datacenter technologies, hybrid cloud architectures, and relevant industry best practices. Provide technical guidance to project teams as needed.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, contributing to accurate project scoping and proposal development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on storage, hybrid cloud, and data center technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, utilizing Agile methodologies preferred.
- Deep understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and data center infrastructure.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
- Writing, presentation and communication skills in English (French would be a nice to have).
