Purpose
The Team Lead, Product & Pricing Analytics contributes to the overall success of Global Transaction Banking by creating and executing its data, business intelligence and analytics strategy to support GTB product and pricing roadmap across GTB Global footprint. The incumbent will perform and oversee analytics across a suite of GTB products (e.g. business accounts, payments, and cash management etc.) and support pricing strategies to drive revenue optimization. The role is highly technical and requires expert knowledge of products, data practices, analytical methodologies as well as Microsoft Power BI.
Incumbent has strong technical, financial and analytical skills and the ability to communicate to a broad audience including Scotiabank executives. The incumbent also possesses strong leadership skills as well robust knowledge of GTB products and services.
What You'll Do:
- Lead data and analytical workstreams and on-going pricing initiatives in collaboration with GTB Special Pricing Group, product teams and other stakeholders.
- Ownership of Pricing data assets and Microsoft Power BI reports which serve as the primary tools for pricing activity analytics and benefit tracking.
- Support the development of Global product dashboards which serve as the one-stop shop for all GTB Product team to access self-serve dashboards and insights.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Provide solid analytics and insights to various GTB teams to drive revenue, execute product campaigns, improve the customer experience, and protect the Bank.
- Provide reporting on employee measurement (Sales, Product, etc.) where applicable to foster a performance-based culture.
- Work in alignment with the Customer Insights, Data and Analytics, Data Office, GBM Client Insights and Analytics, GBM Analytics Execution, Small Business. Analytics as well as Commercial Banking Analytics and Business Planning teams
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Provide strong leadership to direct reports to motivate both individual and team performance and foster a commitment to Scotiabank's Values and our Customers
- Recruit high potential management candidates.
- Develop staff by sharing knowledge/experience and provide opportunities for staff to share responsibility for achieving bank and department objectives/goal.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

- Experience with relational database and SQL
- Expert Microsoft Power BI skills
- University degree in relevant Business, Finance or STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
