Reporting to the Market Lead (Vancouver & Victoria branches), as the Trust Administrator, you support Scotiatrust's team by performing various administrative duties in support of the branches, providing account- and client-based administrative support to Trust Officers and Trust Associates, and facilitating the filing, maintenance, retention and destruction of records the branches' Willbanks and physical files in accordance with specific guidelines.
Is this role right for you? This role:-
Sorts and scans paper files. Creates digital files. Uploads, sorts and saves digital documents. Shreds and files. Maintains document security and confidentiality. Responds to email inquiries from internal staff.

Assembles information and documents regarding clients and accounts. Sets up client and account information in the Trust system.

Prepares routine correspondence and documentation including internal approvals, submissions, reports and requests, and external correspondence with clients.

Maintains daily surveillance of cash and positions in accounts and reports information to Trust Officers. Creates and inputs accurate and timely accounting entries for various payments, transactions and journals. Prepares calculations and summaries.

Provides backup to the Trust Officer in the absence of the Trust Associate.

Provides administrative support to the Branches, as needed.

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce

Knowledge of Estates & Trusts preferable

Enrolment in or completion of financial industry course or accreditation would be an asset (e.g. Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration, CSC, IFIC) would be an asset

Sense of responsibility and dedication to client service excellence
