BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.
We are seeking an EHS Summer Student who will work with the EHS coordinator on key EHS programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Working with EHS Coordinator to improve existing EHS Programs
- Providing administrative support for the EHS coordinator
- Assisting training on EHS programs
- Performing EHS inspections and Audits
- Working with Production and Maintenance staff to resolve urgent EHS issues
- Responding to incidents and emergencies
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA's Health and Safety Policy
- Preparing spreadsheets and graphics to track critical EHS metrics,
- Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
- Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's request.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Nova Scotia Safety College or Holland College OHS Program Other similar programs may be considered.
