(DBM) is a mechanical contracting company, working in the design, installation and management of institutional, commercials, industrial and biotechnological projects. DBM specializes in environmental performance as well as the design and manufacturing of custom equipment. With a vast experience in environmental applications, the company is involved in the responsible management of household waste, wastewater treatment and septic services.

Job Summary

DBM is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while leading the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management: Manage the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees. Handle payroll reporting, tax filings, and employee inquiries related to compensation. Oversee the leave requests system.
  • Accounts Payable: Supervise the accounts payable function, ensuring tasks are efficiently completed, and deadlines are met.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and collections, to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Department Oversight: Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal policies, tax filings and audits.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Coordinating year-end process with corporate accounting firm.
  • Other: Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.

Requirements

  • Diploma/bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA designation an asset) or extensive experience in related field
  • (min. 5 years).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with payroll systems is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Salary range : Strating salary $60,000 and up, based on education and experience.
