The Opportunity:
Our team is growing! This is an exciting full time contract opportunity where you will have a direct impact on the employee experience at Medavie. The role reports to the Director, HR Systems and Support and provides administrative and confidential support to the HR teams, managers, and employees to maintain compliance and support employee needs. You will be part of a fast paced, dynamic team where you will support various functions including personnel and benefit administration.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. In this role you will work efficiently and accurately to ensure the end-to-end running of HR operations. Your hands-on style with the ability to roll up your sleeves will make all the difference as you thrive on process, details and organization. Responsibilities:
- Deliver friendly and professional service to clients through inbound, outbound and email channels in a fast-paced environment. This includes educating them on a wide range of self-service channels to enable and support them in referencing and using the tools online
- Support employee transactions and data in Workday, our Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This includes HCM, Benefits, Absence and Time administration (new hire, rehire, leave of absences, retirement, termination, external consultants and organizational changes), within required deadlines.
- Conduct regular audits and ad hoc system testing
- Manage the Security Clearance process
- Maintain confidential, accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper employee files.
- Provide office and clerical support, including preparation of onboarding packages for all new hires on a bi-weekly basis.
What You'll Bring to This Role:
- Good technical aptitude and knowledge of Workday or similar cloud-based HRIS, Microsoft Office, Notes, and Outlook
- Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory.
- Minimum two years experience in an administrative position preferably in a Human Resources department.
- Ideal candidate would be enrolled in or have completed a Certificate/diploma in Human Resources and working towards a Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining accuracy and using utmost discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Customer service and outcome orientation coupled with superior communication - you are clear, concise and friendly and know how to communicate to different audiences.
- Ability to diagnose problems, identify and drive appropriate solutions to resolve issues.
- High initiative and ability to prioritize and multi-task while meeting tight deadlines.
