Halifax Water is hiring a Senior Manager, Capital Project Delivery as we continue to advance our Engineering Team.

As the Senior Manager, Capital Project Delivery, you will report to the Director, Engineering & Capital Infrastructure and you will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the execution (planning, design and construction) Halifax Water capital projects related to water, wastewater & stormwater infrastructure.

As a Senior Manager, Capital Project Delivery, you will:

  • Ensure your team has the requisite blend of staff experience and ability to execute the full range of Halifax Water capital projects, from linear renewals to major structure upgrades and replacements while maintaining aligment with scopes, schedules and budgets for your team.
  • Develop and maintain and assure adherence to a Halifax Water policies and practice for design and construction, fostering an environment of improvement of project delivery process and outcomes.
  • You will report to exeutive leadership on the preformance and progress of the portfolio of projects.

To do this job, you need to have:

  • A post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered).
  • A Professional Engineer designation.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible related experience in a municipal engineering field.
  • Direct supervisory experience.
