We invite you to join the Mount Carleton Provincial Park Team! Mount Carleton is one of the largest natural sites in New Brunswick, located in the north-west of New Brunswick.
A picturesque blend of Acadian forests and mountain peaks, Mount Carleton contains over 17, 000 hectares of wilderness waiting for today's explorers.
A provincial park since 1970, containing the highest peak in the Maritimes, a part of the Appalachian Mountains, including hiking trails, camping, fishing, and a designated Dark Sky Preserve are all part of what awaits you.
What you will do
Reporting to the Park Manager of Mount Carleton Provincial Park, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnostic and repair of mechanical components for automotive, heavy equipment and small engines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Diagnosing and performing minor repairs
- Assembling and installing parts and testing operation
- Performing preventive maintenance as required
- Obtaining supplies and ensuring adequate inventory
- Performing administrative duties such as preparing task sheets, ordering parts, etc.
- Performing other duties related to the position

- Working evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts and variable hours

Need to have
- Possession of a journeyperson certificate in the Truck and Transport (T&T) Technician Trade as issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act of the Province of New Brunswick
Please attach a copy of your certificate
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capabilities.
Wage
$28.03 per hour
