As a Delivery Lead, you will manage evolution of products, roadmaps, business engagement, budgets, project schedules, risks, issues, reporting and governance of projects and production support related activities. You will also ensure successful delivery of software solutions within Canadian Digital Banking by leading and supporting agile scrum teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics) and identifying, escalating and resolving release and team impediments.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Take the lead in delivering complex projects with stakeholders that span multiple cross-functional teams.

Manage cost and effort estimation process, project schedule and budget.

Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, action items, key decisions.

Mitigate risks and make sure the team is unblocked and can effectively complete their work.

Provide stakeholder and executive communication, conflict resolution, negotiation and relationship building.

Provide regular, standardized reporting for team performance: velocity, stories completed, project status.

Ensuring products are well maintained by identifying and eliminating technical debt.

Coordinate compliance and readiness procedures (Ex. Operational Readiness) with associated teams (Ex. Release Engineering, Security, etc.).

Lead and support agile scrum teams.

Take the lead in resolving production problems and deployment of bug fixes.

Assisting in architectural solution designs, roadmaps and related strategies that are aligned to Enterprise Standards in the effort to modernization software applications.

Assess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy.

Partner with multiple teams across the bank to collaborate on strategy and direction.

Assist Senior Management with various tasks such as creation of roadmaps, resource and capacity planning, team coordination, etc.

Highly technical and curious.

Demonstrated strong knowledge of agile methodology while delivering complex IT projects.

Good knowledge and understanding of technology concepts, software development/delivery practices, disciplines, tools, and methodologies.

Must have good understanding of release management and change management processes.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

The incumbent must be a creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated.

Must have an attention to details, high standards for quality, ability to balance risk with technological advancements.

Familiarity with cloud-based applications, awareness of main public cloud offerings (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with ability to build and foster relationships with business users, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors.

Hands-on technical working experience in modernizing legacy systems or similar transformational initiatives is a strong preference.

3+ years of software engineering (full stack) experience with object-oriented programming & scripting languages is a very strong asset.

3-5 years of banking/financial industry experience is considered an asset.
