As a member of the Global Credit Provisions Reporting & Planning team, contributes to the overall success of the Global Credit Provisions team who are accountable for establishing prudent levels of loan loss allowances (ACL) for the Global Retail and Business Banking portfolios.

You will be responsible for the aggregation of Global Credit ACL and Provision for Credit Losses (PCL) within controlled environment to support financial booking and disclosure processes and monthly planning and forecasting exercises.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day maintenance and governance of Retail provisions database
  • Design, develop and implement of financial risk management provision reports with end-to end database workflow solutions
  • Partner with businesses to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical data models
  • Consolidate Global Credit Provisions metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting, establishing controls that are aligned with the Bank's end user control (EUC) directive and in compliance with regulatory requirement
  • Prepare Forecast and Planning processes for both ACL and Provision for Credit Losses for Global Credit portfolios
  • Review and update of SOX and end to end process documentation, working collaboratively with GRM internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep up-to-date on provision methodology and be knowledgeable of IFRS9 accounting standard
  • Identify, promote, and lead process improvements

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post graduate degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Professional CPA designation or MBA is an asset but not required
  • 5+ years experience in Credit Risk and financial reporting for retail or wholesale products
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in SAS, SQL, Python and VBA
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Familiar with the Bank's General Ledger and / or has experience with preparing financial note disclosures
  • High level of proficiency in using MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
  • Sound project and time management skills; strong organizational and prioritization skills; effective communication skills, both verbal and written
