As a Claims Registration (CR) Clerk you will work as critical team member in the Claims Services Department. You will play a key role in representing WorkplaceNL, as the first point of contact for an injured worker, employer or health care provider. As a CR Clerk you will respond to inquiries to assist injured workers and employers with the completion of injury reporting forms and other questions concerning all WorkplaceNL processes, until such time that the claim is referred for a decision.

Role Responsibilities

  • Advise workers and employers on processes required to file a claim with WorkplaceNL when an injury occurs.
  • Educate the injured worker and employer on the completion of the appropriate forms.
  • Obtain accurate information, clarify details and request missing documentation from injured workers, employers and health care providers.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Two-year diploma in Business Administration.
  • Two years of relevant experience in a client centered team environment.
  • Knowledge of WorkplaceNL's legislation, policies and procedures would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a large workload.

What success looks like in this role

  • Demonstrating a broad depth of understanding of WorkplaceNL's procedures and practices, along with the ability to prioritize the many and varied functions of the position.
  • Communicating with tact and understanding toward employers, workers and health care providers, playing an integral role in the delivery of quality client service in the adjudication process.

Experience and an educational equivalency will be considered.
