The members of the Inland Group of Companies (IDS, Inland Technologies and Quantem Aviation Services) are highly experienced in aircraft de-icing, environmental management, aircraft fueling, ground handling and pretty much any other aviation support service you can think of. They operate at over 50 airports in three countries. We are excited to partner with them to bring a Senior Manager of Shared Services to their team in Truro!

The Senior Manager of Shared Services is responsible and accountable for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, U.S. Payroll and other areas related to daily finance operations. The primary focus of this role will be to transform the function by aligning the current processes and implementing changes to streamline and centralize the processes in different jurisdictions. The Senior Manager of Shared Services will build and lead a high-performing team, will develop strong working relationships with business partners and deliver high quality service for the organization.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the daily operations of finance operations shared services functions, ensuring that services are delivered in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Lead the strategic design and implementation of processes and re-engineering the finance operations function.
  • Support the team leaders and provide excellent internal and external customer service for the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Translate requests from business operations and executive management into actions for the financial operations team.
  • Assess the risks faced by the finance operations team and ensure that the control environment is fit for purpose, while balancing the objectives of efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CPA designation.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in commerce, business administration or other related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in progressive management experience in a shared services environment, ideally in a complex organization.
  • A highly driven, energetic and collaborative individual who is passionate about making an impact upon the business.
  • Knowledge of different business functions, principles, and processes.
  • Previous success of enhancing business performance by partnering with the business.
  • Thrives on adapting to a broad array of complex challenges and a high level of accountability.
  • Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and organize workload to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Ability to quickly learn, interpret information and transfer knowledge to others.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while achieving outcome expectations.
  • Above average written and oral communication skill.
  • Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
