What you will do:
You will be responsible for setting up a customized referral and support service for Francophone or bilingual internationally trained education professionals. You will guide them along the paths to credential recognition, certification and/or hiring in Francophone school districts or early learning and childcare facilities in the province. You will work closely with various actors (talent recruitment teams, employers, Office of Teacher Certification, direct immigrant service providers, etc.) and put mechanisms in place to promote the service and collaboration with the goal of increasing the number of internationally trained educators who obtain their teacher's certificate. You will be part of the interdepartmental Talent Recruitment Division responsible for recruiting education and health professionals. The position reports to the Director of International Recruitment within the Talent Recruitment Division.

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Providing customized referral and support services in French for internationally trained education professionals and facilitating access to immigration support services.
  • Guiding internationally trained education professionals through the certification and professional integration processes. Participating in the development of promotional tools for internationally trained education professionals.
  • Making presentations on employment opportunities in the education sector to service providers for newcomers.
  • Working closely with key actors (employers, Office of Teacher Certification, direct immigrant service providers, etc.).
  • Ensuring that key actors are effectively informed about opportunities for internationally trained education professionals to make use of the navigation service as well as available supports and funding programs.
  • Matching internationally trained education professionals with employers (school districts and early learning and childcare facilities).
  • Guiding internationally trained education professionals through the qualification processes.
  • Working closely with the Talent Recruitment Division's navigation staff to maintain consistent customer service. This includes accurately entering and updating candidate information; leveraging customer relationship management software to build a robust system for strengthening customer connections and relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities for collaborating and partnering with actors to enhance services and processes for internationally trained education professionals.
  • Reporting regularly to management on key performance indicators and outcomes (number of candidates hired, registered for paths to qualification, etc.).
  • Assisting with implementation of the strategic plan for recruitment of Francophone or bilingual internationally trained education professionals.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences or administration
  • A minimum of 4 years of coordination experience in education, employment services or intake and settlement services for newcomers
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Salary:
Pay Band 5: $65,936 to $92,092 annually.

Work environment:

  • Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton, N.B. A telework agreement may be possible within New Brunswick.
  • Your team: International Recruitment unit of the Talent Recruitment Division.
  • Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
