Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable individual to join our team as a System Administrator for the New Brunswick Heart Centre (NBHC). The ideal candidate will have post secondary education in the field of computer applications along with IT experience in a healthcare environment.

Who you are
You have a minimum of two years experience in system administration, preferably in a healthcare setting. You have experience with healthcare software systems and knowledge of data protection regulations in the healthcare industry. You have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You have a high proficiency level with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
What you will do
You will ensure the availability, reliability and performance of essential databases and provide technical support for program staff.
Acts as a liaison between the users and SNB or the vendor as required for issue escalation and resolution.
Develops and maintains all educational documentations and training manuals.
Account Management – Creates new user accounts, as well as performs any maintenance and deactivation of these accounts.
Documentation – Establishes and maintains documentation to reflect customizations.
Performs data mining and custom report design: Gathering detailed reporting requirements from the program and medical directors. Uses the knowledge gathered to design and build custom reports.
Acts as a key user and business owner for assigned systems: Maintains in depth knowledge of NB Heart Centre workflows, business processes and future goals.
Conducts detailed analysis of complex business requirements at a systems level.
Identifies user needs and requirements and advises the program on best practices and business solutions for effective use of the systems, makes recommendations for the systems solutions to address business problems and opportunities for efficiency.
