Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital opened in June 2024, is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people.

Job Summary:

NL Health Services' Children's and Women's program is inviting applications for a new Gynecologist Obstetrician to join its team! The successful applicant is accountable to the Clinical Chief of the Gynecology / Obstetrics Division.

The successful applicant will provide service to the Child and Women's Health (Women's) Program within NL Health Services; functioning within the scope of practice of an Obstetrician / Gynecologist which includes, but is not limited to, attending patients, daily rounds and clinical teaching responsibilities for Clerks and Residents; providing individualized direct and indirect patient care to patients within the Program; providing treatments and therapies in which the incumbent had been adequately trained and supervised.

Required Qualifications

To be considered candidates must hold an MD
FRCSC for Obstetrics / Gynecology
Fetal heart surveillance course completion is required
All applicants must be eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
