About the Role
We are currently looking to hire a Temporary full time Security Analyst II to work in the Cyber Security Division. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead event and incident investigation activities for the Centre's security program.
- Conduct Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs), including execution of Vulnerability Assessments (VAs) and penetration testing on Provincial health systems.
- Work collaboratively with multiple functional IT teams to design and implement security controls and systems.
- Provision of security advice and guidance to IT staff, management, and partners.
- Participate in audit initiatives.
- Lead the definition and execution of security initiatives.
- Research and evaluate industry best practice security controls, approaches, and methodologies for implementation consideration.
- Participate in technical security planning activities.
About You
Your education and experience include:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related IT field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the field of cyber security.
- Recognized certification(s) in the field of cyber security.
You have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical know-how to perform at a senior cybersecurity role.

- Superior interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication).
- Excellent communication skills.

It would be an asset if you have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the sensitivity of health data.
- Previous experience or experience with TRAs/VAs/Penetration Testing.
- Knowledge and exposure to privacy concepts and practices.
- Exposure and experience with Cloud security.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information. Security Manager (CISM) or other security designations.
Demonstrated equivalencies may be considered.
