Purpose
As a Project Financials Control Group Associate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of a diverse portfolio within the GBM Portfolio. You will ensure the accurate tracking, forecasting, and reporting of project financials, while maintaining strong relationships with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects stay within budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee 70% maintenance and 30% standard reporting, ensuring accurate communication of project financials.
  • Serve as the point of contact for financial inquiries, providing detailed reporting figures and forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Manage and update financial forecasts and accruals, coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on financial metrics, ensuring accurate cost tracking.
  • Handle invoice processing and maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Oversee timesheet management for 50-60 resources using tools such as Clarity, Fieldglass, and JIRA/Confluence.
  • Maintain relationships with approximately 30-40 vendors, ensuring seamless contract management and record-keeping.
  • Audit project deliverables, review time tracking reports, approve invoices, and ensure accurate drawdown records.
  • Work with Delivery Managers and Vendors to collect and record accruals information accurately.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring transaction controls and costs align with budgets.
  • Predict potential budget overruns and propose effective solutions.
  • Evaluate contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.

What You'll Bring:

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (index match, vlookup, complex formulas, centralizing information).
  • 3-4 years of experience working with large volumes of data within Excel.
  • 3-4 years of experience in financial forecasting, accruals, reporting, and project financial management.
  • Basic accounting/finance knowledge (Actuals vs. Accruals vs. Forecast, Capital vs. Operating expense, financial project phases).
  • Understanding of project financials and related challenges.
  • Knowledge of project management and timesheet management tools (Clarity, Fieldglass, JIRA/Confluence).
  • Capital market knowledge, including regulatory frameworks and related terminology.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong ethical standards for handling sensitive information.
  • Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to articulate complex issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.).
