What you will be doing:
As a Staff Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to align technical and business strategies. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions and advocate for best practices in software development, security, and system reliability. The Staff Engineer is expected to be a force multiplier, elevating the company's overall engineering effectiveness while driving critical technical initiatives.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- contribute to complex system designs and implementations, providing architectural guidance and reviews
- guide and mentor engineers at various levels
- design and implement systems that scale with business growth
- ensure software reliability, observability and operational efficiency
- participate in roadmap planning and long-term technical vision
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 7+ years of software development experience in conceptualization, design, development and debugging, with at least 2 years providing hands-on architectural design for software applications.
- You have hands-on work experience using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot (Microservices), Web Services (REST & SOAP)
- You have working knowledge using Angular 2+, Javascript, JUnit, HTML, XSL, XML
- You have knowledge in secure coding, authentication, authorization and compliance
- You have experience with cloud providers, containers and DevOps practices
- You have experience optimizing code and infrastructure, as well as logging and monitoring
- University of College degree in Computer Science or Engineering
