We are searching for a Utility Worker to join our Production Kitchen within Parkstone Enhanced Care team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

• Prepares pot machine for washing cambro pans, cook's utensils, pots.
• Cleans all carts on return from sites thoroughly for panners, spray washes all food carts and food racks. Any food boxes or racks used for food storage or transport are to be cleaned thoroughly.
• Transports pans to pot wash; sanitizes and delivers to panning room.
• Porters carts to exit fridge from cart wash station.
• Cleans production pans/pots/equipment parts, etc. as required and returns to production area.
• Sweeps and mops all kitchen floors; ensures all garbage is disposed of in appropriate manner; cleans all garbage containers and garbage areas.
• Empties and replaces tea towels and laundry bags.
• Drains and cleans machine at end of each shift and cleans pan wash area.
• Assists Receiver as required with requisitions.
• Extra cleaning of production kitchen is maintained daily/weekly, along with any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

About You

• Grade 12 or GED.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, equipment and chemicals used.
• Works and communicates with internal and external customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner.
• Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behaviour and attention to detail.
