The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to fill a Programmeur(euse) position for les Services éducatifs francophones, Éducation inclusive au secondaire (9-12), in Fredericton.

You are motivated, work well with others and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You can find innovative solutions to complex problems working in an effective collaborative environment, and you treat people in a polite and professional manner.

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Developing interactive activities
  • Designing animations
  • Maintaining the CLIC website
  • Developing pages on the D2L platform
  • Making corrections on the D2L platform

What you will do:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and updating online courseware and interactive resources for deployment in the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system, as well as creating webpages and designing animations and interactive components, as part of the Cours en ligne team of the L'éducation inclusive au secondaire (9-12) branch.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering and at least two years' related experience OR college diploma in programming and at least three years' related experience
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5 and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Articulate 360 (Storyline), the Microsoft Office suite and D2L Brightspace
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Adobe software
  • Ability to use certain artificial intelligence (AI) tools

  • Specialized subject matter expertise and knowledge

Wage:
Pay Band 4: $57,616 to $80,574 annually

Work environment:

  • Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton.
  • Telework opportunities within New Brunswick
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30.
