Salary Range: $55,989 - 72,785$ per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Dean, the Project Manger has a pivotal role in achieving the vision and mission of the Faculty of Nursing to be the program of preference for nursing education in Atlantic Canada. This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, prioritizing, and leading the execution of projects across the Fredericton campus and the Moncton site. The position works closely with the three Associate Deans and the Executive Assistant to the Dean.
- Maintain project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including assigning tasks, managing team dynamics, and fostering collaboration and motivation.
- Assist or collaborate with the Academic Planning & Strategic Leadership team on large scale projects and/or projects that bridge more than one nursing program.
- Identify project stakeholders, communicate with them regularly, and manage their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks to project success, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans
- Collaborates with the Dean in preparing and submitting project grants for scholarship of teaching and learning within nursing.
- Carry out the research, best practice review, and data collection for projects within the Faculty of Nursing.
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, issues, and achievements.
- Lead working groups, within the Faculty and the Office of the Dean tasked with researching recent developments and designing and implementing innovative new best practices to address such developments.
- Work closely with the Financial Office to develop and manage project budgets. Process and track expenses, reimbursements, invoices, and payments related to projects and events, ensuring timely and accurate processing, adherence to financial policies and procedures and ensuring financial accountability.
- Prepare quarterly and/or annual reports to funders, government and Office of the Provost at UNB
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events for the Office of the Dean including venue selection, catering, entertainment, audiovisual requirements, and logistics.
- Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to promote events, including creating promotional materials, managing social media campaigns, and collaborating with Strategic Communications and Marketing (Central).
- Monitor ongoing communications, podcasts, news feeds for opportunities related to health and wellness as potential relationships and project opportunities for nursing.
- Participate in marketing events particularly related to recruitment and retention.
- Other tasks as assigned by the department.
WHAT YOU BRING
- An undergraduate degree is required, supplemented with project management and/or public relations courses and experience. Master's degree will be considered an asset.
- A minimum of five years experience in managing projects - focusing on effective communication including dealing with clients, donors, networks, and/or leadership teams; working with networks or large groups, managing critical and sensitive issues.
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
