Role Summary
The CEO of Seaview Manor will set the strategic direction, and operational foundation for the organization ensuring stability while advancing the organization in achieving its mission and long-term goals. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will work closely with the leadership team, medical professionals and the board to cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and trust, the CEO will ensure the delivery of high quality, person-centered care while fostering innovation, maintaining financial viability, and adhering to regulatory and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Continuous development and implementation of the organization's long-term strategic plan and policies ensuring alignment with the mission, vision and values for organizational success in delivery of person-centered care.
- Operational Management: Lead the administration team, ensuring the right people, processes, and technology are in place to achieve organizational goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Financial Management: Develop, manage and oversee the organization's financial strategy, forecasting, and monitoring performance to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Leadership and Culture: Serve as a role model for organizational values and ethical leadership by fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, diversity, and professional development. Promote a high level of morale and cooperation among the Borad of Directors, staff, partner organizations and regulatory bodies by providing a direct and open line of communication.
- Communications and Public Relations: Participate in local, federal, and provincial activities which define delivery of long-term health care services and aid in both short and long-range planning of health services and facilities.
- Project Management: Strategic leadership in development of new facility builds, organizational changes, and health care legislation changes.
Qualifications
- Education
· A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimal of 5 years senior management experience in the Health Care Sector.
· Diploma Long Term Care Management-Canadian Health Association, asset
- Experience:
· Minimum of 7 years experience in senior management position, with five years of progressively responsible health care leadership experience as either a Director or Chief of administration, finance, operations, medical officer or nursing.
· Knowledge of the healthcare sector in Nova Scotia, including Long Term Care Requirements with the ability to work within a complex operational and funding environment.
· Visionary and Innovative Leadership with ability to develop a culture where employees are encouraged and supported in utilizing their creativity and talents to the fullest.
· Strategic planning, monitoring and execution of organizational mission, goals and objectives.
· Project Management, including experience in new facility build.
· Financial and operational acumen within Healthcare sector.
· Collaboration and stakeholder management.
· Excellent negotiation, mediation, problem solving, and communication/interpersonal skills.
· Ethical decision-making and integrity.
· Crisis and change management.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners.
