Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, Labrador Grenfell Zone, this position is responsible for management and operational leadership of pharmacy services located across the Labrador Grenfell sites. The manager is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources, as well as the quality of services provided. This position is also accountable for the development and provision of pharmacy services on a zonal basis; liaising with internal and external stakeholders including externally contracted pharmacy vendors; financial management including operating budget accountability; participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Provincial Pharmacy Program strategic directions and objectives as well as process improvement projects; and human resources management including performance reviews and attendance management. Travel to multiple sites within the Labrador Grenfell Zone is required. This position may be required to be designated as Pharmacist in Charge in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board Standards of Pharmacy Operation - Hospital.
Job Qualifications
Education
Graduation from an approved School of Pharmacy is required.
Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Business or a related field is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years' experience within the last seven (7) in a hospital pharmacy environment with experience with managing projects of a complex nature.
