The Director & Head will Lead and oversee the Business Delivery Office for Global Risk Management globally, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The Director & Head will support the VP, Transformation Office in providing leadership and management to enhance the governance and delivery of transformation, regulatory and SIP programs in Global Risk Management, working closely with the Risk Transformation Integration Lead. The Director & Head will lead the GRM program management roadmaps, delivery framework, governance and ensure effective delivery across all business lines and risk types; involving key stakeholders commitments (board, OSFI, international regulatory and internal audit).
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Direct multiple regulatory, Transformation, SIP and BAU projects within the Risk Business Delivery Office, involving multiple enterprise-wide stakeholders and matrix governance. Provides program and project management subject matter expertise for the program. Support the portfolio management and program/project prioritization activities.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix partners e.g. GRM PMO, EPMO, CPMO, TMO to oversee all phases of a project. Manage scope rigorously to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Create and maintain project documentation including project charter, resource plan, milestones, measures of success and transition plan into sustainment.
- Develop project estimates and plans to manage end-to-end project execution. Monitors project milestones, financial delivery, resource availability, issue management process and resolution. Articulates business outcomes, including business and technology costs, risks and benefits, dependencies and resources.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree considered an asset
- PMP/PMI certification preferred
- 10+ years experience in financial industry with a particular emphasis in risk management and/or industry experience supporting large scale and complex transformational projects, and setting up program governance structure
- Demonstrable success in leading large-scale high-risk programs involving geographically and functionally diverse stakeholders, with an enterprise mindset.
- Strong experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
- Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret results for the business/stakeholders and derive insight
- Proactive, self-directed, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly convey information to senior GRM audiences. Expected to facilitate/lead meetings.
- Intellectually curious, with strong business judgment and strategic influencing/negotiating skills
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative networks of strategic contacts with the specific intent of fostering teamwork and future opportunities and partnerships
