Holland Power Services Inc., a subsidiary of Alectra Inc., is a leading power line restoration company in North America with operations in New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and New England. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Storm Response & Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating emergency response administrative tasks and supporting the full billing cycle for storm-related work. Reporting to the Director of Storm Administration, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of storm response efforts and accurate financial tracking. This position requires a strong background in contract management, financial analytics, and advanced Excel skills. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, however, due to the nature of the role, the candidate must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in response to storm events.
Key Responsibilities:
Storm Coordination: Assist in organizing emergency response crews, including utility roster preparation, and utilizing storm-specific web/mobile applications to facilitate response efforts.
Financial & Billing Support: Prepare, finalize, and reconcile storm-related invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms and utility requirements.
Contract Management: Review, interpret, and track contract details to ensure accurate billing and adherence to utility agreements.
Logistics & Operations: Aid in arranging accommodations and tracking expenses.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain and analyze detailed financial records, timesheets, and expenses, utilizing advanced Excel functions to optimize financial tracking.
Client & Internal Communication: Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, field crews, and utility partners during storm events.
During off-peak storm season, participate in special projects or process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, preferably in emergency response, construction, or utility services.
Strong background in contract management, financial analytics, and reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in response to storm events.
