Position Overview:

The City of Saint John is currently seeking a bilingual university/community college student to work at the Rockwood Park Interpretation Centre under the supervision of a Community and Recreation Development Coordinator. The primary responsibilities include responding to all inquiries about Rockwood Park and the City of Saint John that come in through walk-in requests, as well as phone or email inquiries. These inquiries can include directing park visitors to trail heads, giving general information about Saint John, providing maps or directions, or answering questions about the facilities.

Other responsibilities could include cleaning and organizing the Interpretation Centre, updating the message board, assisting with park bookings, Community Block Party Trailer and Green Machine bookings and programming, and providing departmental support as needed.

The successful candidate will be a university or college student and able to communicate in both official languages.

Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
