Service New Brunswick's Energy Management Unit is seeking an outstanding individual with passion, dedication, and a team-focused mindset. This is your opportunity to be in on the ground level of this innovative shared services agency.
The student will work closely with the Energy Management Team and facility staff at various government-owned facilities, including schools, hospitals, and office buildings.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building System Analysis:
- Review building energy consumption data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Analyze Building Management System (BMS) data to identify and address operational inefficiencies, such as suboptimal schedules, control issues, and equipment malfunctions.
- Developing and reviewing project proposals and business plans.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare reports summarizing energy consumption data, project performance, and GHG emission reductions.
- Develop and maintain databases and dashboards to track energy performance.
Related duties may be assigned as necessary for operational requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled in a University Engineering program; within the 2nd or 3rd year of the Mechanical or Electrical concentration.
- Experience with the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience and/or knowledge in lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are considered an asset.
- An interest in energy management.
- Ability to work alone and in a team.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a changing work environment.
- Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.
